The short version
Company and role
HP Inc. · Affiliate Marketing Manager
The problem
HP.com's affiliate program had gone stagnant and needed a full reset — the right partners, offers, pages, and internal coordination.
What I did
  • Diagnosed the gaps in partners, audiences, and traffic sources, then recruited and coached new affiliates.
  • Built new cross-channel assets and co-branded landing pages, and ran offer and placement tests.
  • Ran the channel and a seven-figure quarterly budget against strict return targets.
The result
Affiliate revenue grew 60% over the prior year in year one and another 30% in year two; average order size rose 66% over the same rebuild.
Who I worked with
Agency, merchandising, creative, analytics, product, and e-commerce teams — plus 20+ partners at an annual summit I created.
60%
Affiliate revenue growth vs. the prior year, in year one of the rebuild at HP, on a seven-figure quarterly budget

Overview

I owned channel strategy, execution, and a seven-figure quarterly budget against strict return-on-investment targets. The mandate was to identify the growth constraints, develop the partner and campaign response, earn support, and coordinate delivery across the agency and internal operating teams.

The Challenge

HP.com's affiliate program had become stagnant. The issue was not a single underperforming partner or campaign. The channel needed a broader reset across audience coverage, partner categories, offers, assets, landing experiences, budget allocation, and internal coordination.

My Approach

  • Diagnosed gaps in the existing partner portfolio, audience coverage, category mix, and traffic-source concentration.
  • Recruited and coached affiliates across search, content, blogs, coupons, loyalty, email, and platform relationships.
  • Developed new cross-channel assets and co-branded landing pages that gave partners more relevant ways to reach and convert their audiences.
  • Used partner-specific offer and placement tests to improve value and average order size.
  • Aligned agency, merchandising, creative, analytics, product, and e-commerce teams around the channel plan, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Created and led an annual Partner Summit for more than 20 partners and vendors to strengthen enablement, alignment, and future planning.

The Results

  • 60% affiliate revenue growth over the prior year, in the first year of the rebuild.
  • An additional 30% growth in the second year.
  • 66% increase in average order size over the rebuild period.
  • A further 20% revenue increase from recruiting and coaching partners across a broader traffic mix.
